Troy, MI Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description 5 Axis CNC Operator / Programmer Troy, MI | Onsite We're hiring an experienced 5 Axis CNC Operator/Programmer for a precision manufacturing shop in Troy. You'll program, set up, and run 5 axis machining centers on complex, tight tolerance parts, from first article through production. What You'll Do Program 5 axis CNC machining centers using CAM software and edit programs at the control Set up and operate 5 axis mills, including fixturing, work offsets, and tool setting Read and interpret blueprints, 3D models, and GD&T to plan machining strategies Prove out new programs and optimize toolpaths for cycle time, finish, and tool life Select cutting tools and set speeds and feeds for a range of materials Inspect parts with micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges to verify tolerances Troubleshoot machining, setup, and quality issues and make corrections as needed Perform routine machine maintenance and keep your work area clean and organized Work with engineering and quality on part improvements and new jobs What You Bring 3+ years of CNC machining experience, with hands on 5 axis setup and operation CAM programming experience (Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, or similar) Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, or Haas controls preferred Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Experience holding tight tolerances on complex parts Able to work independently and own a job from programming to final part High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or machinist apprenticeship a plus bCKW5SdfyN
