In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC Swiss lathes and milling machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and mechanical systems will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. Duties Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss lathes and milling machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, and AutoCAD to produce complex parts with high precision. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Maintain optimal tooling setups by selecting appropriate tools and fixtures, ensuring proper tool wear management and tool life optimization. Troubleshoot machining issues related to Fanuc controls, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or other CNC systems to minimize downtime. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Document all machining operations accurately, including setup procedures, inspection results, and process adjustments for continuous improvement initiatives. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code for Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of CAD software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA for designing parts and creating CAM programs. Experience operating CNC Swiss lathes, CNC milling machines, and related equipment with a focus on precision manufacturing. Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence. Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of tooling selection, geometry principles, and machining techniques. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality assurance processes. Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Understanding of schematics related to electrical systems or mechanical components involved in machining equipment operation. Strong math skills essential for calculating dimensions, tolerances, speeds, feeds, and other machining parameters.
