Job Description
CNC Programmer R&S Machining, a division of Threadlock Precision, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support our aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for complex precision-machined components. Ideal candidates are technically strong, detail-oriented, and have experience working in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Create and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers Develop efficient machining strategies to improve cycle times, tooling performance, and overall production efficiency Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements Select tooling, work holding, and machining methods appropriate for tight-tolerance aerospace components Collaborate with setup machinists and operators during prove-outs and first-fun production Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain quality and efficiency Make program revisions and process improvements as needed Maintain organized program documentation and revision control Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing process optimization Maintain compliance with AS9100 and internal quality standards Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CNC Programming experience required Experience working with NX, Mastercam, Catia, and/or Vericut preferred Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC machines Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, tooling, and machining processes Experience holding tight tolerances in a production environment Aerospace or defense machining experience preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaborate with production teams Why Join R&S Machining?
