Editing Full Job Description Program Development:
Create and optimize efficient CNC programs for multi-axis CNC mills and lathes utilizing CAM software. (NXMastercam)
BlueprintModel Analysis:
Interpret complex aerospace blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and 3D CAD models.
Process Optimization:
Define appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize tool wear.
First-Article Support:
Collaborate with machinists on initial setups, troubleshoot program errors on the floor, and verify first-article components.
QualityCompliance:
Ensure all programs align with strict internal quality standards, AS9100 regulatory frameworks, and customer specifications.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated CNC programming experience within a precision manufacturing environment (aerospace or defense preferred).
Software Proficiency:
Strong hands-on experience with Mastercam, NX, or equivalent industry-standard CAM software.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of G-code/M-code editing, blueprint reading, and precise application of GD&T symbols.
Machining Knowledge:
Solid understanding of multi-axis machining (3, 4, or 5-axis setup), cutting tools, material properties (titanium, aluminum, stainless steel), and work-holding solutions.
