The CNC Programmer will develop accurate and efficient CNC programs and toolpaths used to manufacture components for hydraulic cylinders. This position will also focus on improving existing programs, reducing machining and setup times, selecting appropriate tooling, and supporting overall manufacturing efficiency. Working knowledge of Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software is required. Training & Development This position will progress through two primary stages: Stage 1 - Process & Equipment Familiarization During the first stage, the CNC Programmer will develop a strong understanding of our CNC equipment, machining processes, hydraulic cylinder components, tooling, and existing CNC programs. You will work closely with CNC Operators and Supervisors to gain hands-on knowledge of our manufacturing processes. The length of this stage will depend on the employee's experience, demonstrated proficiency, and ability to learn our equipment and processes. Stage 2 - CNC Programming & Process Improvement After demonstrating a strong understanding of our equipment and manufacturing processes, the CNC Programmer will: Develop CNC programs for new hydraulic cylinder components Improve and optimize existing CNC programs Work closely with Operators, Supervisors, and Design Engineers Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and setup times Select proper tooling based on materials and machining applications Work with tooling vendors to maximize tooling performance and efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the machining process Essential Duties & Responsibilities Review and interpret 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and blueprints Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software Develop efficient and accurate machining toolpaths Determine appropriate machining sequences and operations Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters Optimize CNC programs to improve productivity while maintaining quality Work with Design Engineers, CNC Machinists, Operators, and Supervisors to reduce setup and machining time Troubleshoot programming and machining issues Perform program simulations and test runs before production Ensure programs meet blueprint specifications, dimensions, and tolerances Identify opportunities to simplify tooling and setup requirements Maintain and improve existing CNC programs Follow established CNC programming and machining standards Maintain strong working knowledge of tooling for various materials and applications Assist with manufacturing process improvements and problem solving Comply with all applicable

2015 requirements Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safety-focused work environment Perform additional duties as assigned by management QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of CNC machining and/or CNC programming experience Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming Working knowledge of Mastercam or comparable CAM software Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications Strong mechanical aptitude Strong problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Preferred Associate degree or technical degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field Previous manufacturing costing or quoting experience Experience improving CNC machining processes and cycle times Experience working with tooling manufacturers or vendors Experience in hydraulic cylinder or precision manufacturing environments Physical Requirements Ability to meet the requirements of a Physical Capacity Profile - Level 3 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and around CNC equipment Compensation Pay is based on experience, knowledge, and demonstrated CNC programming capabilities.
