CNC Programmer - Milling

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in programming and technical skills, with a focus on enhancing our manufacturing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with various departments to ensure high-quality production standards. The functions of an Engineer within the NC Programming Department will be performed under the supervision of the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and/or the Manager of NC Programming. Duties Preparation and development of numerical programs used to drive NC/CNC tools, including the selection of cutting tools, considering factors such as spee feeds,s and control system limitations.

• Selects program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.
• Preparation and development of holding fixtures to be used for manufacturing.
• Continually evaluate CNC programs as needed to ensure program accuracy.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, preferably Catia V5, to create 3D models from 2D drawings.
• Generate CAD drawings and product structures to match and clearly communicate customer requirements accurately.
• Resolve problems utilizing acquired knowledge and analytical abilities
• Communicate with all co-workers and shifts
• Clean and maintain a safe work area
• Complete all tasks assigned by the direct supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving minor defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to eyes.

Skills / Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of NC Programming Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience running 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel, Catia V5.
• Excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills are a must.
• Understanding of GD&T and

ASME Y14.5

is a plus

• Ability to work with an ERP system (Organization is currently working with Vantage by Epicor).
