Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. This role requires a strong foundation in CNC machining processes, programming languages, and technical drawing interpretation. The ideal candidate will contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence by ensuring high-quality production standards are met through precise programming and tooling setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and write CNC programs for various machines, including CNC lathes and 5-axis CNC milling machines, utilizing CAM software and CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining. Set up machining tools, fixtures, and tooling on CNC machines, including tool selection based on project requirements. Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling wear, or machine calibration; adjust programs accordingly. Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs for manufacturability and ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process parameters for future reference. Ensure safety protocols are followed during machine operation and setup procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience in CNC programming for metal machining environments with proficiency in Fanuc controls. Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for engineering CAD design. Hands-on experience with CAM programming software for CNC milling machines and lathes. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Knowledge of CNC tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining tool management. Understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately. Experience operating measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes. Strong math skills relevant to machining calculations including geometry considerations. Knowledge of measurement techniques for quality control in precision manufacturing environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. If you are passionate about precision manufacturing and eager to contribute your expertise in CNC programming within a dynamic team environment, we encourage you to apply today. Join us in driving innovation through advanced machining techniques while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
