  • Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm
Job Summary:
CNC Programmer will develop and optimize CNC programs for a range of equipment, including plasma cutter, 4-axis milling machine, and traditional turret punches and press brakes. This role ensures that our components and assemblies are produced with precision, efficiency, and the highest quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and engineering drawings to create accurate CNC programs. Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for: Hypertherm plasma cutting systems Kitamura 4-axis milling machines Traditional turret punches and press brakes Set up machines, verify tool paths, and conduct trial runs to ensure parts meet quality standards. Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain production efficiency. Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and machinists to optimize processes and reduce waste. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine setups, and revisions. Recommend improvements in programming methods, tooling, and machining strategies. Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties Effectively monitor production equipment Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the guidelines Practice and follow safety protocols
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience in CNC programming for plasma cutters, milling machines, and press brakes. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar). Strong understanding of G-code and machine-specific programming languages. Experience with 4-axis milling and multi-axis setups. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints Knowledge of material properties, metal fabrication, and machining processes. Knowledge of machine maintenance and operation; working with gauges/calipers Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 pounds Team-oriented and self-directed Committed to quality, safety and communication
Physical Demands:
Ability to use arms, hands and fingers to handle, or feel. Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision. Exposed to a noisy environment routinely. Work in manufacturing & warehouse areas. Safety glasses and additional PPE as required by law and Safety policy.
