1st Shift | Full-Time Mancan Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing facility in Chardon, OH, in search of an experienced Advanced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who enjoys hands-on machining, programming, troubleshooting, and producing high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of the machining process from initial setup and programming through final inspection.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

🔹 Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, including turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment. 🔹 Create, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs using G-code, CAM software, and conversational controls. 🔹 Work with Mazak, Fanuc, or similar CNC control systems. 🔹 Perform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, workholding, offsets, and tool adjustments. 🔹 Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, and cutting tools for various materials. 🔹 Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications. 🔹 Perform first-piece inspections and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances. 🔹 Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime. 🔹 Monitor production quality and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. 🔹 Operate CNC equipment and assist with production runs as needed. 🔹 Maintain accurate setup documentation and follow all safety and quality procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

✅ 3-5 years of CNC machining experience with programming and setup responsibilities preferred. ✅ Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, M-code, and machine troubleshooting. ✅ Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls. ✅ Proficiency with CAM software and CNC programming techniques. ✅ Ability to perform complete machine setups independently. ✅ Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining equipment. ✅ Ability to read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and work within tight tolerances. ✅ Familiarity with machining alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials. ✅ Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes. ✅ Must have personal machining tools and be comfortable working with minimal supervision. ✅ Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. ✅ Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus!
