We operate a modern manufacturing facility equipped with Mazak machining centers, fiber lasers, welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing capabilities. We are seeking a CNC Laser Programmer to support our growing fabrication operations and help maximize throughput, quality, and material utilization. Job Overview The CNC Laser Programmer is responsible for programming, nesting, and supporting production on our Mazak
OPTIPLEX
Fiber Lasers. This position works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop efficient cutting programs, improve material utilization, reduce setup time, and ensure parts are produced accurately and on schedule. Duties Create and optimize CNC programs for Mazak fiber laser cutting systems Develop efficient nests to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap Interpret customer drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and specifications Generate cut programs using CAD/CAM and laser programming software Select proper cutting parameters based on material type and thickness Support operators with troubleshooting and program improvements Verify first article parts and ensure dimensional compliance Collaborate with engineering and production teams on manufacturability improvements Maintain revision control of programs and associated documentation Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput Qualifications 5+ years of CNC laser programming experience preferred Experience programming fiber laser cutting equipment Experience with Mazak laser equipment strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience with nesting software and material optimization Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes Proficiency with CAD/CAM software Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Mazak
