SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for programming and operating power driven lathes, mills, and grinders. Analysis and create instructions after reviewing print to meet part specifications.

Duties:

Read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents, blue prints, and customer drawings and perform all necessary calculations. Program, Set up, adjust and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills to machine part to print specifications. Generate, write and/or edit CNC programs, create prototypes, fixtures, tooling needs for department. Monitor the quality of parts produced, make adjustment as needed. Must be proficient with computer equipment/ software, Auto Cad, ProE or SolidEdge and CNC MasterCam programming, and machine tooling design. Must be quality orientated with a high attention to detail and able to work with quality and manufacturing departments to define problems and implement improvements.

Education and Experience:

Associates Technical Degree or equivalent training and experience Minimum of 2 yrs. manufacturing experience or training; or equivalent combination.
