  • Job Description
  • The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing programs to control machining or processing of metal parts by automatic machine tools, equipment, and systems.

You will work independently alongside two additional programmers during the first shift. The primary focus will be on writing programs for 3-5 axis CNC mills, CNC lathes, and wire EDMs, with occasional debugging and troubleshooting on the shop floor alongside operators. This role requires an 8-10 hour schedule on the first shift, with overtime pay provided for hours worked beyond eight daily. Our production shop spans 200,000 sq. ft., is extremely clean, climate-controlled, and equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Develop programs for CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDMs. + Work independently and collaboratively with other programmers. + Debug and troubleshoot programs on the shop floor. + Educate operators on program nuances and machine tooling. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 5+ years of offline CNC Programming with Mastercam software.

+ Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.

+ Knowledge of machine and tool designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

+ Understanding of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment.

+ Ability to draw using AutoCAD or SolidWorks software.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Program debugging and troubleshooting skills. + Experience with 4 and 5 axis CNC mills and/or lathes. + Familiarity with CATIA software. + Understanding of tight tolerance programming strategies. + Hard machining experience post-heat treat.

  • The pay range for this position is $83200.00
