Job Description

Overview Join our innovative manufacturing team as a CNC Swiss Programmer and Setup Specialist, and/or CNC Lathe Operators. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC Swiss-style lathes to produce precision components that meet stringent quality standards. Your expertise will drive efficiency and excellence in machining processes, ensuring seamless production flow and continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology in a fast-paced environment committed to precision and innovation. Duties Develop and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes ensuring efficient machining cycles and high-quality output. Set up CNC Swiss lathes by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately according to detailed blueprints and schematics. Perform precise machine calibrations and adjustments using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines. Monitor machining operations in real-time, troubleshoot issues promptly, and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances. Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure parts meet specifications. Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall productivity. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment. Requirements Proven experience programming and setting up CNC Swiss-style lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAD software like SolidWorks or CATIA is highly desirable. Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing tooling layouts and fixture setups. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and geometric measurements for precision manufacturing. Familiarity with CAM programming software for toolpath generation tailored to CNC lathe operations. Mechanical knowledge of tooling, geometry, schematics, and the use of precision measuring instruments including bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Experience working within lean manufacturing environments to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Strong math skills essential for accurate measurement calculations and process adjustments. Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
