Job Description

Join our team as a Computer Numerical Control Programmer in Grove City, OH! We are excited to partner with a top manufacturer in Grove City, OH in their search for a skilled
CNC PROGRAMMER
to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MasterCam and responsible for creating, optimizing, and refining machining programs for both 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers. Reporting directly to the Machining Manager, this role plays a crucial part in exceeding production goals, on-time delivery, quality standards, and workplace safety. This is an ONSITE position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprint drawings, CAD models, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications to determine the best machining strategies Choose suitable tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding techniques to enhance precision and reduce cycle times Implement process improvements through toolpath optimization, tooling enhancements, and standard programming practices Create, update, validate, and optimize CNC programs for 4- and 5-axis HMCs/VMCs Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to validate programs and ensure smooth setup on the shop floor Perform test runs, troubleshoot programming issues, toolpath errors, and post-processor adjustments Maintain program documentation, revision control, and organized file management Assist with fixture design considerations to improve manufacturability and repeatability Complete any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Setup Machinist Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer using MasterCam or similar CAD/CAM software Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T Broad knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, workholding, and various metal types Familiarity with G & M code for multiple brand controls; preference given to those with Fanuc experience
