Job Description Develop, implement, and continuously improve CNC machining processes for precision aerospace components. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam to maximize efficiency and quality. Design and modify 3D models, engineering drawings, fixtures, and manufacturing tools using SolidWorks . Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, workholding solutions, speeds, and feeds to support production requirements. Drive process improvements that reduce cycle times, setup time, scrap, and rework. Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, quality, and production challenges to maintain operational performance. Work closely with CNC machinists, setup technicians, quality teams, and production leadership to support daily manufacturing objectives. Review engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, and tolerance standards to ensure manufacturing feasibility. Develop and implement fixture and workholding solutions for new and existing products. Create and maintain setup documentation, work instructions, and process control records. Support first article inspections and address issues identified during the validation process. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve production and quality concerns. Ensure all machining processes meet AS9100 , customer, and internal quality standards. The Successful Applicant Hands-on experience with Mastercam for CNC programming and process optimization. Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating and modifying models, drawings, and manufacturing fixtures. Background in CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing, or a precision machining environment. Strong understanding of CNC programming principles, cutting tools, machining strategies, speeds, feeds, and process optimization. Experience improving CNC milling and/or turning operations to increase efficiency and quality. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and tolerance requirements. Working knowledge of tooling selection, fixture design, workholding methods, and inspection processes. Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve machining, programming, and production challenges. Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside machinists, quality teams, engineers, and production leadership. Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and maintain accurate process documentation and technical records.
