Job Description

Overview:
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an CNC Machinist/Programmer. In this position, you will set up and run various machines (saws, radial drills, lathes) to cut, shape, and drill materials, following blueprints, using measurement tools for precision, performing basic maintenance, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality standards, requiring mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and physical ability to handle materials and operate equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
    Machine Setup & Operation :
    Set up and operate cutting saws, radial drilling machines, and lathes, adjusting controls and tooling for different materials and cuts.
      Blueprint Reading :
      Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand specifications, dimensions, and operational sequences.
        Material Handling :
        Load and unload raw materials, position workpieces, and use cranes or forklifts if required.
          Quality Control :
          Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers, or tape measures to verify conformance to specifications, watching for defects.
            Maintenance :
            Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on machines, replacing worn tools or components as needed.
              Safety Compliance :
              Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wear required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots), and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
                Documentation :
                Accurately complete production paperwork, log work, and report any issues. Hayden Industrial has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act ("The Unity Bill.") effective August 29th, 2019.
                Education and Experience:
                • High school diploma or equivalent.
                • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools.
                • Proficiency with measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers).
                • Knowledge of machine tools, blueprints, and shop math.
                • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
                • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 70 lbs.) and stand for long periods.
                • Experience with forklifts or overhead cranes is a plus.
                Supervisor Responsibility:
                This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
                Work Environment:
                Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.
                Physical Demands:
                The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
                Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
                This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
                Travel:
                No travel is required for this position.
