  • Friday Position Summary As the Tooling Machinist you will own the design, fabrication, and validation of tooling, jigs, and fixtures used to support machining of production parts.
You will use your knowledge of machining processes, material properties, and CNC programming to develop tooling solutions that enable safe, repeatable, and efficient manufacturing. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to support process development and program prove-out activities to ensure parts meet quality and performance requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and modify jigs, fixtures, and production tooling used in the machining and assembly processes. Support validation of new and revised production CNC programs through structured prove-out activities, including controlled operation sequencing and test execution. Develop and modify CNC programs required to manufacture tooling and support production operations. Perform test runs to validate tooling and machining processes, making necessary adjustments to achieve required tolerances and repeatability. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and CNC Programmers to troubleshoot machining, quality, or throughput issues. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience with CNC machining, setup, and programming. 1+ years of experience with CAM software and the ability to interpret G&M code. Experience supporting and perform program prove-out and process validation activities, and accurately documenting results. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret GD&T prints and technical drawing; ability to read and follow detailed process documentation as written. Knowledge of machining processes, material behaviors and cutting tool applications. Knowledge of machine mathematics (basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry, with the ability to calculate feeds, speeds and geometric relationships. Preferred Qualifications Experience with 3-axis machining and tooling design and development. Experience with Mastercam and experience designing mechanical parts in CAD software. Experience working within a manufacturing engineering team.
