!!!!! Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 5 Axis CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing complex CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers to produce precision components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production workflows, adherence to strict quality standards, and continuous improvement in machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop and write CNC programs for 5-axis machining centers using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA, ensuring precise tool paths and optimal machine performance. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, utilizing GD&T principles to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment, to produce complex parts with high accuracy. Utilize CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD to assist in designing components and verifying geometries before programming. Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline machining processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling configurations, and inspection reports for quality control and process improvement purposes. Qualifications Proven experience programming 5-axis CNC machines with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages such as G-code. Proficiency with CAM software including Mastercam, CATIA, or similar platforms for complex multi-axis machining. Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and schematic interpretation to ensure accurate part production. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in tooling selection, geometry calculations, and mechanical knowledge related to machining operations. Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, EDM equipment, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Strong math skills including geometry, trigonometry, and basic algebra necessary for precise programming and measurement tasks. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices.
