Job Summary:

The CNC Programmer at MetalPeak Fabrication is responsible for designing and implementing CNC laser programs to meet production needs, collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize operations and ensure high-quality laser cutting and engraving processes.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Create, test, and implement CNC laser programs for precision cutting and engraving based on blueprints and CAD drawings. Effectively partner with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality and production efficiency. Analyze and resolve programming issues to enhance machine performance and efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation of programming processes, revisions, and machine settings. Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance. Train machine operators on new laser programs and procedures to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes. Ability to communicate technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to identify and solve complex design and mechanical problems. Ability to methodically think through issues and develop solutions.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time.

Work Environment:

Indoor fabrication shop with exposure to welding arcs, heavy materials and heave machinery. Noise levels require hearing protection. Team-based, fast-paced production environment.
