CNC Programmer/Machinist Responsibilities:

Proficiently program CNC Mills or Lathes. Design and construct fixtures for machining operations. Set up tooling and workholding on CNC machining centers. Prove out programs to ensure reliable setups. Interpret blueprints, often involving GD&T specifications. Hold tight tolerances by meticulously inspecting parts using various precision tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges). Document loading and unloading procedures for CNC machines. Train operators in cycling parts efficiently. Perform deburring and polishing tasks as needed. Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces. Conduct routine maintenance on machines, including coolant management and chip control. Work collaboratively with the QC department to qualify machining processes. Schedule machining cycles and ensure operators' accountability for successful job completion. Utilize available tooling and resources efficiently. Communicate effectively with the manager regarding resource needs and operational planning. Plan and establish machining operations, troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in CNC programming and machining operations. Proficiency with Haas and Mazatrol controllers. Strong blueprint interpretation skills with a focus on GD&T. Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment. Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality in machining operations.
