Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer specializing in Mills, Lathes, and Swiss Machines to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will develop precise CNC programs for complex metal components, optimize machining processes, and ensure high-quality production standards. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our machining operations. Duties Write and edit CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and Swiss-style CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD. Set up machining tools and fixtures accurately to ensure precise manufacturing of parts according to blueprints and schematics. Interpret mechanical blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics to determine machining requirements. Operate CNC machinery including 5-axis CNC machines, CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss machines with proficiency in Fanuc controls. Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to verify part quality. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by analyzing tool wear, geometry deviations, or programming errors to maintain optimal production flow. Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD design modifications and improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles. Requirements Proven experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss machines with a strong understanding of CNC tooling setup and operation. Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for designing parts and creating CAM programs. Extensive knowledge of Fanuc controls and CAM software for efficient programming of complex parts. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), measurement tools like bore gauges and CMMs, and precision measurement techniques. Mechanical knowledge including blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, schematics interpretation, and machining tool selection. Experience working within lean manufacturing environments to optimize workflow and reduce waste. Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately while adhering to safety standards and quality protocols.
