Overview Programming will be done manually, you need knowlegde of G and M Codes!!!!!! We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision-engineered components. This role requires a thorough understanding of CNC machining processes, technical drawings, and programming software. The ideal candidate will contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence by ensuring efficient, accurate, and high-quality production runs on various CNC machinery, including 5-axis CNC machines and CNC lathes. Duties Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools to translate engineering drawings into machine instructions. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise machining. Set up CNC machining tools and fixtures on machines like CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Operate CNC machines safely while monitoring machining processes for quality and efficiency. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or programming errors; adjust programs as necessary. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process adjustments for quality control and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment. Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming for milling and turning operations, particularly with Fanuc controls. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA; CAM software experience is essential. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Knowledge of CNC tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining tool setup. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining and precision measurement instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and CMMs. Experience with 5-axis CNC machines and CNC lathe operations preferred. Ability to interpret schematics and schematics related to manufacturing equipment. Strong math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-volume production environments. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about precision manufacturing and engineering. We value innovation, technical expertise, and dedication to quality. If you meet these qualifications and are eager to contribute your skills within a dynamic team environment focused on excellence in metal machining and CNC programming, we encourage you to apply today.
