Job Description

About the Role As a Precision Machining Specialist, you will drive manufacturing excellence by programming and operating advanced CNC and laser cutting systems. Your work directly impacts production throughput and quality by designing custom tooling solutions and optimizing complex fabrication processes. Responsibilities Configure and run fiber and CO2 laser and CNC machinery to achieve high-tolerance component production. Translate technical blueprints and CAD data into efficient machine programs using G-code and modern CAM software. Engineer and build custom jigs and fixtures to streamline workflows and improve setup efficiency. Execute precise quality inspections using micrometers and calipers to ensure all parts meet strict dimensional standards. Maintain equipment reliability through proactive maintenance and systematic troubleshooting. Document machine parameters and contribute to process improvement initiatives to reduce material waste. Assist in the integration of robotic automation systems to enhance material handling and secondary operations. Required Skills 3+ years of professional experience in CNC and laser machine operation. Advanced proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manual G-code programming. Strong grasp of mechanical tolerances, material properties, and technical drawing interpretation. Demonstrated ability to design and fabricate custom manufacturing fixtures. Proven problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Skills Technical diploma or associate degree in mechatronics, machining, or manufacturing technology. Hands-on experience with robotic programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA). Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
