Zing Recruiting in partnership with a prominent client in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist/EDM Programmer-Machinist to support their manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist with experience programming, setting up, tooling, and operating CNC equipment, as well as Wire EDM machinery. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, producing precision components, troubleshooting machining processes, and optimizing programs for quality and efficiency. Experience with both CNC machining centers and EDM Wire machines is highly preferred.

CNC Machinist Summary Pay:

$36.69 + hourly

Set up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and workholding devices. Operate and troubleshoot Haas Machining Centers Program and operate Wire EDM equipment , preferably Charmilles machines. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements. Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments. Perform machine adjustments to ensure product quality and process efficiency. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to improve processes and reduce downtime. CNC Machinist Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience. Strong CNC programming experience. Hands-on experience with Mastercam . Experience with machine setups, tooling selection, offsets, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds. Experience with Wire EDM programming and operation . Experience with Charmilles EDM machines . Experience with Haas machining centers . Knowledge of GD&T. Tool and die, mold, prototype, or precision machining experience. Ability to work 2nd shift.
