In this role, you will be responsible for developing, editing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Develop and modify CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other machining centers using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise machining operations aligned with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Set up CNC equipment including tool selection, tooling adjustments, and calibration using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency. Troubleshoot machining issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling wear, or mechanical failures to maintain high productivity levels. Collaborate with design engineers utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD to review designs and suggest manufacturability improvements. Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols, schematics, and electrical or mechanical schematics while maintaining detailed documentation of programs and processes. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming for both milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and CAM programming tools. Experience with precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including machining techniques, tooling selection, geometry calculations, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and eliminate waste. Mechanical knowledge related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling maintenance, and schematic reading. Ability to read blueprints accurately while applying GD&T standards for quality assurance. Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and geometric relationships necessary for precise machining operations.
