5-Axis CNC Programmer (Mastercam)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled 5-Axis CNC Programmer with expertise in Mastercam to program, set up, and run CNC 5-axis mills with minimal supervision. This individual will play a key role in optimizing machining processes, improving efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also a team player who values collaboration and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
    CNC Programming & Setup:
    Develop, edit, and optimize programs for 5-axis CNC mills using Mastercam, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy.
      Machine Operation:
      Set up and operate Matsuura and Haas 5-axis machines using Fanuc controls to produce high-precision components.
        Process Optimization:
        Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
          Workholding & Fixture Design:
          Design and implement custom fixtures to ensure repeatability and precision.
            Quality Control:
            Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, inspect machined parts, and adjust programs as necessary to maintain tight tolerances.
              Lights-Out Machining:
              Implement and optimize unattended machining for increased efficiency.
                Collaboration & Training:
                Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality teams; mentor and train less-experienced team members.
                  Continuous Improvement:
                  Identify and implement best practices to enhance machining precision, efficiency, and workflow.
                  Qualifications & Skills:
                  Must-Have:
                  • Proven ability to program, set up, and run CNC 5-axis mills with minimal supervision.
                  • Expert proficiency in Mastercam multi-axis programming.
                  • Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls on Matsuura and Haas 5-axis machines.
                  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
                  • Willingness to train and mentor other machinists to support company growth.
                  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
                  • Looking for a long-term opportunity with room for growth.
                  Nice-to-Have:
