In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and optimizing CNC machines to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your mechanical knowledge, combined with proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing best practices, will drive continuous improvement in our machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc controls, electrical discharge machining, and coordinate measuring machines, ensuring top-tier quality standards are met consistently. Responsibilities Develop and implement CNC programs for lathe and milling machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD. Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters to ensure precise operation aligned with engineering drawings and schematics. Conduct detailed blueprint reading and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce parts within tight tolerances. Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall productivity. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC equipment including Fanuc controls, CNC lathes, mills, and electrical discharge machines. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions against specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics and schematics for tooling design or modifications; suggest improvements based on machining feedback. Experience Proven experience in CNC setup and programming for both lathe and milling machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc or similar systems. Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for designing and programming parts. Familiarity with manufacturing processes like electrical discharge machining (EDM), precision grinding, and tooling setup. Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately while applying GD&T principles. Mechanical aptitude combined with a solid understanding of geometry, math fundamentals, and the use of precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques aimed at continuous process improvement within a machining environment.
