Our components have supported multiple lunar missions as part of the Artemis program, with hardware currently on the surface of the moon. Now operating from our state-of-the-art facility at the Houston Spaceport, we are continuing to expand and are seeking highly skilled machinists to join our team. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to set up, program, and operate Mazak CNC equipment to produce high-precision components. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with tight tolerances, and experience in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (3, 4, and 5-axis preferred) Program parts using CAM software (Mastercam preferred) Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements Machine precision components to tight tolerances (±0.0005" or better) Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools Optimize tool paths and machining processes for efficiency and quality Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet production goals Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace preferred) Proficiency with G-code programming and editing Experience with Mazak or similar CNC machines (Matrix/Nexus control a plus) Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Experience machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and exotic alloys Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings High attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Skills Experience with high-speed machining and complex 3D surfacing Familiarity with probing systems (Renishaw preferred) Experience with tight-tolerance, high-RPM applications Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100) What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects Career growth in a rapidly expanding company Why Join BVI Machining?
