The Position The CNC Craftsman is responsible for producing high-quality machined parts using CNC lathe equipment while ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to engineering standards. This position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by interpreting technical drawings, executing machining programs, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical capability, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship. Responsibilities Machining & Production Produce machined parts using a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine. Review and interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications. Apply understanding of geometrical dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) during machining activities. Follow machine parameters, reference planes, and technical requirements provided by engineering. Quality Control Perform quality checks in accordance with CNC quality control standards. Use SPS charts to determine frequency of checks, gauging requirements, and measurement intervals. Verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measurement tools. Ensure all machined components meet required specifications before release. Workplace Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing area. Follow company housekeeping standards and ensure tools and materials are properly stored.
Education Level of Degree:
Vocational Degree or Higher Secondary Preferred Fields:
Machine Operator, Industrial Technician, Tool & Die Maker, or similar
Language:
