Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join a leading aerospace and satellite communications company located in Western, TX through 100% onsite work . The CNC Programmer (5-Axis) will support advanced aerospace manufacturing operations by programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing multi-axis CNC machining centers used to produce high-precision satellite and aerospace components.
Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers to manufacture complex aerospace components with tight tolerances Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software while validating toolpaths and machining strategies Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, technical documentation, and work instructions to ensure production accuracy Perform machine setup activities including tooling, work holding, fixtures, offsets, and material verification Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement equipment Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, chatter, offset adjustments, and process inefficiencies Optimize feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and cycle times to improve manufacturing performance and quality Support continuous improvement initiatives, preventative machine maintenance, and process enhancements Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges Maintain accurate production documentation, job travelers, ERP entries, and quality records
Qualifications:
2-5+ years of experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC machines in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, machining processes, tooling, feeds and speeds, and setup procedures Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam preferred Experience machining aluminum, composites, aerospace alloys, or other precision materials preferred Knowledge of post processor development preferred Aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing experience highly preferred High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred

$93,600 - $114,400 annually (equivalent to $45.00-$55.00/hr), depending on experience
