In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce high-precision components. Your expertise will contribute to efficient production processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Job Description/Responsibilities:

Set up and adjust CNC lathe and mill to make production and prototype parts Plan and lay out work from design drawings, sketches and oral instructions Edit programs/g-code for functionality and efficiency Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications Instruct and train machine operators to run parts and help will all shop needs Perform maintenance on machines Help the production team with various machining needs Use manual lathe and mill for easy machining tasks Ensure the machine shop remains organized and clean Program and machine new parts and prototypes using SolidWorks CAM and CamWorks Requirements 5+ years experience on 3 - 5 axis CNC machines Understand G-code Be able to find errors and manually edit programs Know how to accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Basic computer skills Good attention to detail Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods Able to lift or move a minimum of 35 -50 lbs. for up to 8 hours per day; pushing or pulling 100 -200+ lbs. occasionally throughout the work day Preferred experience/skills: Familiar with Haas controls Proficient with SolidWorks modeling and CamWorks programming Solid understanding of speeds and feeds for different tools and materials Experience fabricating component parts where set-ups are non-routine Demonstrated ability to resolve unforeseen/unique issues as they arise in machining a part(s) Ability to read and interpret specifications from an engineering drawing Operate manual lathe and mill

Pay:

$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
