  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Boring Bar Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this role, you will operate and program CNC boring machines to produce precise, high-quality components according to detailed specifications. Your expertise will ensure the efficient production of complex parts, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and experience with precision measurement tools, contributing to our goal of delivering superior products to our clients. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC boring machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software and Fanuc controls to optimize machining processes Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and specifications to produce precise components Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and hand tools; troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime Select appropriate tooling and tooling setups for various materials such as plastics or metals; manage tooling inventory efficiently Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure parts meet design specifications and tolerances Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when required for complex or hard-to-machine materials Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection results, and machine logs Requirements Proven experience operating CNC boring bars, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with CAM software is highly desirable Strong understanding of GD&T principles for interpreting technical drawings accurately Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling, fixtures, power tools, welding, and assembly processes Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for specialized applications Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments including bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements Experience working with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus but not mandatory Ability to operate forklifts and use hand tools safely; adherence to safety protocols at all times Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments If you are committed to precision manufacturing and eager to contribute your technical expertise within a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply today.
