Job Description

CNC ProgrammerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision machined components. The ideal candidate will translate engineering drawings into efficient CNC code, set up and test programs on Mazak and other CNC platforms, and work closely with production and quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications and production targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) from engineering drawings and blueprints for milling and turning operations.

Set up, test, and debug programs on Mazak and other CNC machines; perform dry runs and make necessary adjustments.

Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and cycle times to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and meet production schedules.

Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality inspectors to resolve design or production issues and ensure parts meet tolerance and finish requirements.

Maintain program documentation, tooling lists, and machine setup sheets; update revisions as needed.

Conduct first-article inspections and support troubleshooting during production runs.

Train and support machine operators on program operation, setup, and best practices.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

QualificationsAssociate degree or certificate in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.

Proven experience programming CNC machines, preferably with Mazak controls and Fanuc/Siemens exposure.

Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds and speeds, CNC setup, and machining principles.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360) is highly desirable.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a shop environment.

Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as production demands may require.
