Job Overview As a CNC Programmer, you'll turn engineering designs into accurate, production-ready machining programs. You'll work with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to plan and support CNC machining across milling, turning, and other processes.
Your impact:
By creating reliable programs and verifying part quality, you help manufacturing teams produce precise components and deliver dependable results to customers. Responsibilities Create, edit, and validate CNC programs for CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and 5-axis CNC machines; Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to select machining methods, tooling, and setups. Develop CAM programming and CAD designs using Fusion; review toolpaths and resolve programming issues. Inspect parts using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments; document quality-control measurements. Requirements Experience with CNC programming, CAM software, machining, CNC tooling, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read blueprints and apply mechanical knowledge, geometry, and math to machining tasks. Familiarity with precision measurement in machining and quality-control practices. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Experience with engineering CAD design, programming in engineering, and CAD software such as
