Job Description
Aircraft Exterior Painter 12-18+ month contract 1st Shift 2nd Shift Weekend Shift Position Overview Seeking Aircraft Exterior Painters with experience in large-scale aircraft exterior paint applications. This role focuses on exterior aircraft painting only and does not include interior or parts painting. Required Experience Minimum 4 years of paint experience Intermediate knowledge of aircraft paint systems Demonstrated proficiency with topcoat application Advanced knowledge of mechanical sanders, buffers, spray equipment, and common hand tools Experience working with adhesives, paints, resins, and preparatory paint materials Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to perform repetitive movements and overhead work Ability to work on upper aircraft at heights greater than 10 feet Ability to use mechanical sanders, buffers, spray equipment, and common hand tools Must pass pulmonary function test Must obtain and maintain respirator clearance Must obtain and maintain aluminum pretreatment certification Ability to wear required PPE Preferred Qualifications Aerospace paint experience Scissor lift certification Boom lift certification Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles Familiarity with quality assurance principles #GRPA Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
