Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work and select suitable coatings and materials. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional spray painting), and power tools with precision and efficiency. Conduct surface testing for color accuracy through visual color comparison and adjust techniques accordingly. Use ladders safely for elevated areas while adhering to all safety regulations, including the use of respiratory protection when necessary. Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, beams, fixtures, and other architectural elements during renovation or remodeling projects. Maintain a clean work environment by managing waste materials and ensuring all tools—hand tools, paint sprayers, caulking guns—are properly stored and maintained. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on-site; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Assist with additional handyman tasks such as fixture installation or minor repairs as needed during project completion. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with residential and commercial painting projects along with knowledge of renovation processes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment like ladders safely. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction site work; committed to maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to safety protocol guidelines. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently. Experience with construction estimating is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching through visual comparison techniques. Excellent physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, climbing ladders, or working at heights during surface preparation or painting tasks.
