Job Description

Aircraft Painter Job Responsibilities:
Apply primer, topcoats, and specialty coatings to aircraft components using spray equipment. Perform paint touch-ups, color matching, blending, masking, and detailed finishing work. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to ensure work meets OEM specifications and quality standards. Set up, operate, and maintain paint booths, spray guns, mixers, and precision measuring equipment. Inspect paint thickness, finish quality, and completed work to ensure compliance with customer and company requirements. Maintain paint materials, equipment, and work areas, including cleaning booths and following proper waste disposal procedures. Identify paint application issues, report quality concerns, and assist with corrective actions as needed. Follow all FOD (Foreign Object Debris), safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing procedures. Assist with training less experienced painters and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2+ years of industrial, automotive, or aerospace spray painting experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to lift and carry 20-45 pounds and stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
