Industrial Painter/Powder Coater iStaffing inc - 3.0 Santa Ana, CA Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $20.01 - $24.00 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Equipment setup (production tasks) High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Materials handling Full Job Description Painter / Powder Coating Technician Job Summary Seeking an experienced Painter / Powder Coating Technician to prepare, paint, and powder coat metal parts while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Clean, prepare, and mask parts for liquid paint and powder coating applications. Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and related materials according to specifications. Set up and adjust spray equipment, including air pressure, spray patterns, and coating settings. Apply primers, finish coats, and powder coatings to achieve required quality and thickness standards. Inspect coated parts for appearance, coverage, adhesion, and defects. Identify and correct coating issues; escalate complex problems when necessary. Clean, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on painting and powder coating equipment. Follow production schedules, work instructions, and quality requirements. Accurately complete required production documentation and system updates. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Assist in other production areas as needed, including material handling, masking, packaging, and general shop support. Support training and mentoring of entry-level team members. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of industrial painting and/or powder coating experience. Knowledge of paint application techniques, equipment setup, and coating quality standards. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Manufacturing experience preferred. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Push up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, twist, and load/unload materials as needed. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules when required.
Pay:
$20.01 - $24.00 per hour
