This:
- Aircraft paint-prep best practices
- Surface preparation, masking, sealing, and sanding according to FAA standards
- Protecting components from chemical erosion during stripping and sanding
- Fundamentals of aerospace coating applications
- Application of livery markings and aircraft paint design
- Equipment operation
- Safety protocols for working on/around aircraft
- Proper use and disposal of chemicals and materials in compliance with OSHA, Cal-OSHA, and Mojave Air Resources Board requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of verifiable paint experience.

Job Description Looking for a career? If you have experience with house or auto body painting, sanding, masking and lift equipment, please apply! Come join IAC and learn how to become and Aircraft Painter through our Painter's Career Progression Program. International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) is the world's leading aviation specialist painting company. We work with International airlines, private operators and aviation leasing companies across the globe to provide tailor made aircraft painting, interior refurbishment and graphic solutions that ensure regulatory compliance globally. We currently run 16 sites, 6 of which have wide body aircraft capacity and each year we paint over 1000 aircraft across our facilities. Our European headquarters are based at Shannon Airport, County Clare, Ireland, with our US headquarters located in Spokane, Washington. Please feel free to review more information regarding IAC at http://www.iac.aero. Safely perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimal supervision. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications.
Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms and paint sprayers.
Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals and use protective equipment as required.
Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
Assist with aircraft movement in hangars.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work at heights up to 60 feet
Temperature:
40 to 100 degrees
Chemical exposure (Flammables, Corrosives, Reactive)
Able to wear a respirator
Lifting 30 - 50 lbs and pushing/Pulling 10 - 25 lbs.
Climbing, Standing, Walking 90% of shift.
Other PPE usage required
