Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Painter Trainee / Experienced! In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to aircraft surfaces, ensuring they meet rigorous safety and aesthetic standards. Duties Prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying surface primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate spray guns—including conventional and airless paint spraying equipment—to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Conduct surface repairs such as body refinishing and restoration. Use hand tools, grinders, power tools, and buffing equipment to achieve smooth finishes and high-quality paint jobs. Apply paints and coatings with attention to detail while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures. Perform quality checks on painted surfaces for consistency, color matching, and finish quality; make necessary touch-ups. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing paints, tools, and materials while following environmental regulations related to paints and chemicals. Experience Knowledge of sanding techniques, surface preparation masking is preferred. Strong understanding of automotive or aircraft painting processes including surface preparation and coating application. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for aircraft refinishing projects. Commitment to safety practices such as proper use of respiratory protection when working with paints or chemicals.
