Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder/Painter to join our team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating and welding various metal components, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, and possess strong mechanical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial components and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work with various tools and materials in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in manufacturing, auto body repair, or construction painting is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in industrial painting while contributing to high-quality production standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed using hand tools and power tools Apply primers, paints, and coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other application methods Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and fabrication machinery to handle materials safely and efficiently Use precision measuring instruments and basic math skills to ensure accurate application and coverage Perform maintenance on painting equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations Assist with materials handling, fabrication, assembly, and auto painting tasks as required Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and minimize waste Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and welding requirements
- Fabricate and weld metal components using various techniques such as soldering, brazing, and welding
- Assemble fabricated parts to form complete units or subassemblies
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure proper dimensions
- Operate forklifts or rigging equipment to move materials or finished products as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols Experience
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with ductwork assembly is preferred
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to solder, assemble, and weld metal components accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers
- Experience operating forklifts or rigging equipment is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools effectively Skills Experience with industrial painting techniques including airless paint spraying.
