Job Description

Job Title:
Aircraft Painter
  • Pay may go higher for more experience Job Description This position requires the preparation and painting of major sub-assemblies and parts of aircraft, ensuring adherence to specifications and schedule requirements, under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities Prepare surfaces and mix paints according to specifications. Paint aircraft, small parts, and various surfaces as required. Perform layout and masking as necessary. Mix paints, primers, and other materials according to specifications. Paint major assemblies, including metal, fiberglass, and composite material, detail parts, and apparatus related to ground support. Strip paint and prepare surfaces as needed. Conduct miscellaneous paint operations and apply decals. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's 5S and Lean Initiatives Programs, and comply with safety regulations. Demonstrate manufacturing competencies during the Employee Effectiveness Review. Provide guidance and training to junior department members. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience with HVLP and electrostatic spray gun painting. Proficiency in aircraft painting, mixing, and blending techniques. Experience in wet-coat painting of metals, vehicles, and airplanes. Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the painting trade. Understanding of methods for mixing paint colors. Two years of experience in painting and paint preparation. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Experience in industrial environments, such as farm equipment, metals, and containers, is preferred. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.66 - $28.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
