Cooper Machine is a custom manufacturer of sawmill equipment. We are looking for a motivated individual for our paint department. A normal day could include unloading steel, sandblasting steel, prepping machines for paint, applying paint, or maintaining the paint/sandblasting area and supplies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Clean and prepare surfaces for paint including sandblasting all raw steel that arrives onsite Maintain inventory of sandblasting and paint materials Prime and paint parts and equipment Maintain a clean work environment Maintains equipment used in the sandblasting and paint area Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes Keeps up with time spent on individual jobs Keeps an efficient work area If needing materials and supplies or safety equipment notifies Purchasing Manager Maintains yard Follows all safety procedures and corrects or reports any safety issues to Safety Manager including the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste
