Painters are responsible for the priming and painting of a high volume of metal fabricated parts. The painter will be hanging and painting parts within the production area, previous automotive or industrial equipment painting experience is a requirement. Education:

Trade school with painting degree preferred

Experience:

1-2 years powder coat painting experience

Skills:

Paint and/or prime to meet customer specifications and QMC requirements Perform preventive maintenance on equipment Knowledgeable about quality and appearance requirements for painted parts

Responsibilities:

Able to set up painting equipment and test prior to painting Able to mix paint according to specifications Inspect parts to verify that they are properly prepared for painting (parts cleaned, weld spatter removed, etc.) Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping of the paint booth. Complete all required documentation Read and interpret paint callouts Understand quality and appearance requirements for painted parts Will operate equipment and tools with concern for safety Assist paint prep personnel with tasks as necessary Other duties as specified Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, and move repetitively at all levels Ability to work in high-temperate environments •
