About Hunter Foundry Machinery Hunter Foundry Machinery is a privately owned, established manufacturing company with 50+ years of experience designing and manufacturing molding machines for the foundry industry. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Schaumburg, IL. What You'll Do As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting large and small machinery, fabricated components, and parts using professional industrial painting techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare, clean, sand, and mask surfaces before painting Apply industrial paints, primers, lacquers, enamels, and other coatings Use spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment Paint machinery and fabricated components of various sizes and materials Operate and work safely within an in-house paint booth Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, finish, color, and overall quality Read and follow paint-color specifications, schematics, and chemical hazard labels Properly handle and store paints, solvents, and other painting materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Clean painting equipment and the work area after completing preparation and painting activities Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Work effectively with production and other team members Perform other reasonable duties as assigned Be willing to work mandatory overtime when required by production needs What We're Looking For Previous industrial or manufacturing painting experience preferred Hands-on painting experience using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools and equipment Ability to prepare surfaces properly before painting Ability to identify and correct paint defects and maintain quality standards Ability to read and understand basic schematics, specifications, and chemical hazard labels Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift Willingness to work overtime when needed Why Join Hunter Foundry Machinery?
