Full Job Description Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, hanging, and inspecting components prior to coating Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens Apply powder coat finishes evenly and consistently according to work instructions and specifications Monitor oven temperatures and cure times to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality Inspect finished parts for defects such as runs, thin coverage, orange peel, or contamination Perform touch-ups or rework as required to meet quality standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe powder coat area Follow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements Complete required production and quality documentation Communicate issues related to equipment, materials, or quality to supervision Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
Requirements:
Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Prior powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred Knowledge of powder coat application techniques, curing processes, and surface preparation Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic mechanical aptitude
