DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare parts for coating by correcting imperfections or rough surfaces Clean product to remove dust and dirt prior to coating Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects Cure parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatments Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance Check product for flaws, bubbles or imperfections Ensure quality standards and processes are followed Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment Log in and out of jobs for time tracking Perform housekeeping for machines and department to maintain clean and organized work area

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Excellent attention to detail Able to work in a fast paced environment Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting Ability to handle or use hand tools Ability to identify and correct inconsistencies in final product Operate forklift

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of experience in powder coating and industrial painting Experience using various coating equipment including guns, hopper and booth collection systems Knowledge of mechanics of painting equipment Experience working in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. frequently Team lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally Ability to work in non-air conditioned manufacturing environment Able to perform powder application duties while wearing full respirator mask Standing 50% Sitting 50% Occasional bending and stooping Clean work environment Exposure to noise, dust, and airborne particles Tools provided Safety training and other required PPE provided
