Duties Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation techniques, including plastering, caulking, sanding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply coatings using brush painting, roller painting, conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, and construction spray painting methods for various surfaces such as stucco, masonry, trim carpentry, and structural elements. Operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, scaffolding, ladders safely while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols. Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and color theory principles to select appropriate paints and finishes that meet project specifications. Execute restoration projects involving fixture installation, remodeling, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, masonry work, welding, and general handyman tasks. Conduct visual color comparisons to ensure color consistency across different surfaces and materials. Collaborate with team members on site to ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with safety protocol adherence. Assist in the interpretation of technical schematics for industrial painting or specialized coating applications on large-scale construction sites. Manage multiple tasks including renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and masonry repairs efficiently within project timelines. Experience Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial coating projects. Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, power tools (including airless sprayers), scaffolding setup and ladder use for elevated work. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics accurately. Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting surfaces preparation and application processes; experience with respiratory protection is preferred. Hands-on experience with various painting techniques such as brush painting, roller painting, conventional spraying methods including airless paint spraying or construction spray painting. Skills in basic math for measurements and calculations necessary for surface coverage and material estimates. Experience working on renovation or restoration projects involving plastering, framing carpentry (including fixture installation), masonry repairs or remodeling tasks. Additional handyman skills such as welding or fixture installation are considered advantageous for versatile project support.
