(NAS) provides sign services to the nation's largest retail, hospitality, financial, and service companies. While located in the Midwest, NAS has clients spread throughout the country. The Location This position is in South Bend, IN. Located alongside of the St. Joseph River and close to the Michigan state line; South Bend is the 4th largest city in the state. Lots to do - year round recreational activities Close to Lake Michigan and Warren Dunes and a short drive to Chicago Cost of living is remarkably low for the region and type of area Responsibilities and Duties 1. Paints and refinishes carious surfaces with enamel, lacquer, varnish and stain. 2. Paints with rollers, brushes and spray painting equipment 3. Prepares surfaces for paint by sandblasting, scraping, sanding, patching, plastering and spackling 4. Erects and takes down scaffolding 5. Maintains tools and equipment used in work assignment 6. Leaves the work area clean and safe when job is completed 7. Participates in job compliance requirements of apprentices in techniques, equipment, safety, policies and procedures as necessary Knowledge and Skill Requirements 1. High School diploma or equivalent 2. Minimum of 1 year painting experience in a manufacturing environment 3. Computer literacy of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be moderately loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 2:30P.M.
