Job Brief:

Doherty Steel is searching for Painters/Loaders who will utilize equipment to prep, clean, and apply various primer coatings to metal products, help load them, and maintain quality in our manufacturing facility.

Painter/Loader Responsibilities:

Adhere to safety protocols and practices Coordinate with other team members as required Use of overhead cranes to position material for coating Verify material surface is prepared for coating Ability to read and understand product data sheets

Requirements:

Operation of material handling equipment and overhead cranes. Operation of airless painting system Ability to understand wet mil thickness of primer applied Assist with loading of fabricated steel Ability to work overtime when necessary Good work ethic Ability to follow instructions Ability to pay proper attention to detail Work smart, safe, and adheres to PPE requirements Ability to work in diverse weather conditions Strong hand/eye coordination Lift and carry upwards of 5O pounds Ability to kneel, bend, and crouch for a period of time Ability to stand in one position for extended period of time Note This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
